Custom Ranch Lake Home in Oconomowoc
This French Country Ranch home features custom Montana stone with three fireplaces, a four-season room, and intricate deck to the Lake.
Well Built Relationships
This homeowner bought property on a lake and asked us to build their home – it was the second time they’ve built their own home and had an established architect. While we also design most of the homes we build, we have no problem working with an architect of your choosing. In this case, the homeowner had a clear idea of what they wanted and used the architect they had used in their first home that they felt most comfortable with. The architect allowed us to take a look at the plans and make a few changes before we went into full production.
Lake County Living
Being that this house was going to be on the lake, the homeowner wanted a few things in particular. Their sitting room was originally going to be screened in to enjoy in the warm months but after the initial plan was done, we decided to make it enclosed so that it could be used all year round. It has an amazing view with a fireplace – something too good to only be seen for a few months out of the year!
We built three different fireplaces. Each one is a little bit different from its look to its function. The homeowner had a very clear thought on the materials to be used and how they wanted them to look. We couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. A beautiful addition to the landscape.
One of the most challenging aspects of this build was the multi-level deck. The homeowners originally planned on building it themselves but after attempting it, realized that the complexity of the terrain along with the deck materials themselves were more than they could handle. So our team built the stairway and deck that went from the home level to the lake level. And after using it for a while, the homeowner decided they loved the view from the deck and wanted to add on more at a later date!
Focus on Energy Builder
Everything we design and build has an emphasis on the Focus on Energy program. As we built this home, we took into consideration some of the features like windows and doors to make sure we were choosing the best brands in installation procedures we could. It’s one of the things we love to incorporate into every home we build.
