A Natural Setting
This custom designed modern farmhouse was designed to fit a front-sloping, fully wooded lot which allows the owners to enjoy the great vistas available to them while maintaining the serenity of its natural setting. Due to the lot’s features, we made substantial investment to make sure the house was placed in the optimum location to take advantage of the best access to the design the customers wanted.
Custom Designed Features
The homeowners wanted a volume entryway with natural light that opened up to ten-foot ceilings in the Great Room at the rear of the house so they could enjoy the undisturbed nature of the wooded lot. We incorporated wood beam accents into the vaulted Great Room ceiling.
The spectacular kitchen boasts an adjacent walk-in pantry that provides invaluable extra storage as well as a coffee counter conveniently out of site.
A Forever Home
This house was designed with aging-in-place features that allow the customer to enjoy for many years to come. Features that could be needed later in life include: a zero-barrier entry from the garage, 3/0 doors with extra wide hallways, and a tiled roll-in shower.
A screened porch off the rear of the home shows off the picturesque outdoors without having to experience some of the unpleasantries that a mid-summer night may bring.
